Then and now

As a family business, together with the team, we are committed to high-quality processing of car tires and rubber for a cleaner environment.

It all started in 1968 when Bart Gruppelaar was involved in retreading in Delden. Old carcasses were fitted with a new tread and Dabo (Deldense Auto Tire Company) launched many retreaded tires on the market, both truck and car tyres.

This is where Eco Band was created produced by Dabo tires BV

In 1999 Sjoerd Gruppelaar opens car and tire service Gruba in Grootebroek, North Holland. Since then Gruba has been providing car tires, sports rims and maintenance and repairs to cars until now.

In 2000 Gruba Autobanden moves its activities back to the east of the Netherlands and settles in Enschede. From there, the company has grown into one of the car tire processors in the country.

The demand for used tires is also increasing among private individuals and in 2008 Gruba opens its Auto and Tire Service on Henrik ter Kuilestraat. Here we sell many new and used car tires and we provide maintenance to cars.

The third generation is now continuing the family business. Located in Enschede and Gescher (DL). Used car tires are collected in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. We sort, inspect, test and bring as many good tires as possible back onto the market all over the world.
